My dog has skin allergies!?
See if your vet can do a specific allergy test to find out exactly what the dog is allergic to, so you can remove the allergens from his environment. My dog has the same problems with allergies, but one of her worst one's was corn. After we got her on a dog food that wasn't made with corn as a filler, she's doing a lot better. Since it sound's like your dog has pretty severe allergies, you might have to change a lot of things in his diet and with plants or other things in the house, but you'll both be happier in the long run.
Reply:poor baby/try brushing him daily/ i really/ don't know/can the vet/ recommend /a shampoo/ or soap /good luck /on your endeavor
Reply:feeding your dog some bacon grease on the food a couple times a week helps with dry skin. I would ask the vet what kind of allergies does the dog have. You could be feeding your dog something that causes the problem. Also ask the vet what kind of med is he giving the dog you may be able to order it online or something without paying a vet bill. If he needs the med just get a refill or something sence he already knows what the problem is why make you pay a bill every month?
Reply:i mom has a dog that is allergic to frontline...i mean it got bad, she was always sracthing and digging, and her hair was falling out, and her skin looked bad, mom thought it was fleas, and the vet said they needed to take better care of her, which hurt my little bros feelings...then one day mom forgot the frontline and she started getting better....
